Four Truths About Me:

* It’s honestly not about the money. Ha, what money? LoL. I’d rather feel happy doing what I simply love doing; even if the sewing costs me money instead.

* My favorite color is Coral. Although, any two colors which cooperate in contrast usually catch my eye. Silver on Lilac, Pink under Lime, Coral edged in Gold, just to name a few.

* Bags? A passion, really? - yep, not because I suck at making clothes (It’s true, I’m absolutely horrible) but more so because of the interesting juxtaposition of materials and techniques used in bag design. Stout and structured on the outside, poised against delicate patterns and textures on the inside; seams you could drive a truck over adjacent to silky lined pockets and trim. Like the optics of chrome affixed to a supple leather, or velvets and resin in the same textural space, like canvas & couture in the summer rain.

* I’m friends with a cat. His name is Napoléon. He likes my sewing chair. “Alot”.

And one Bonus reveal:

I spent nearly 26 years as a hair colorist and salon owner. It’s all behind me now, but my secret reprieve from the bleach dust and chatter, was the zen-like-sound of my sewing machine casting stitches over & thru a magnificent material I had magically sourced one adventurous day. (estate sales, thrift stores, upholstery shop junk piles.) A total dream come true!
