Who's Really In-Charge Here?
Most people today are using artificial intelligence to help them do thier jobs.
I've decided to use nature's intelligence instead.
I wish I could say that my own natural intelligence is good enough to get everything done without assistance, but that would be a lie.
Sometimes, paper pattern pieces need a good set of sharp teeth to shred their edges. Sometimes, a fabric-marker's cap is best repurposed as an on-the-fly toy.
When you buy our patterns, you are supporting my small business and Napoleon's ability to contribute to the creative process as well.
We both thank you, genuinely, sincerely and from the deepest center of our hearts.
Warm regards,
~Napoleon & Jeremy
About my business
Bags? A Passion? ... really?
Bag composition is very interesting to me. The materials and techniques are often juxtaposed in uniquely creative ways; not only for artistic effect, but also in lieu of solving complex engineering and structural challenges. A handbag's charactership can appear stout and rigid, all while flaunting much more delicate materials, textures and finishes. The optics of such a relationship might appear to be purely fashion forward, while in reality the partnering serves to house a particular feature or assist in the movement of hardware, or perhaps infuse a sense of flexibility along an integral seam.
Function aside, I simply like the aesthetic appeal of chrome affixed to a supple leather, or when velvet and resin share the same textural space. I admit I fantasize about canvas & couture in the warm summer rain, the scent of leather near my face, and the dapple of shadows and sunlight on a bespoke bag leaving on a train.
I spent nearly 26 years as a hair colorist and salon owner. Itβs all behind me now, but my secret reprieve from the bleach dust and chatter, was the zen-like-sound of my sewing machine casting stitches over & thru any magnificent material I could somehow obtain.
I'm fortunate enough to call this creative gig my full-time job and I am staggeringly humbled by everyone's creations as a result of using my designs. This business is a community effort as much as it is a personal endeavour - It would not be possible without all the fanfare and support I receive.
As a designer, I focus on organization and relish detail. As a maker, I focus on detail and relish in the end result.
Won't you join me? Please do.
